Edward Scissorhands was effin brilliant.. but then again Tim Burton is my idol. soo yea. can't hate johnny in that one.

NO beef with Depp here. He makes a lot of lame movies watchable. anyone seen that first pirates movie. damn if Depp wasnt in there it would have sucked. oh and keira knightley made it a tad better.

He was excellent in Donnie Brasco. And he has the right to say whatever he wants, wherever he wants to. Isn't that an American prnciple?

Eh, I don't care much for the opinion of celebrities. I wouldn't even know he lived in France or that he made those comments if you didn't post. Actors, celebs they're just people and I figure that they're mostly odd people at that. The lifestyle they lead and the hordes following them around kind of lead to it. Whatever he says is his opinion and I don't care where he says them from nor what he says. I fail to see why people pay such close attention to them. I'll watch their movies or listen to their songs if they're good at acting or making music but I don't really care how they feel about things.

France isn't some eden either. high unemployment rates. Last year there was a huge protest because the government was going to make it easier to fire younger workers. One of the reasons the US became the superpower that it has become is because of competition, you don't do your job and do it well....you might not have a job. My job security lies in the fact I'm good at what I do, and I work hard.

Also theres the big issue of Algerians in France who are legally in the country but not allowed to have full citizenship no matter how long they live there, whether or not they're married to a citizen. They're basically outcasts living in slums.

I luuuuuuve Johnny! He is a wonderful actor. Scissor hands was brilliant. Along with so many others.

He has every right as an American citizen to speak out about what he feels and believes.

I do it all the time.
