Thinking... I started my new job one week ago today, it's going pretty well. The biggest challenge is learning the residents names. So far I learned about half of the 83. Hopefully by the end of next week I'll know the rest.

THinking how much better I feel when I get up a bit later. I got up half past 8, but since wintertime started last nite I got an hour's more sleep. Dang do I feel that, much better!!

Thinking... I started my new job one week ago today, it's going pretty well. The biggest challenge is learning the residents names. So far I learned about half of the 83. Hopefully by the end of next week I'll know the rest. Thinking how much I wish my memory was that good! And here I was thinking mine isn't that good because I haven't learned all of them yet and still mess up a little with a few of them. Most of them sit in the same spot twice a day. Yesterday two of them moved to a different spot and I didn't recognize them at first. Then went to clear the plate from a lady resident, she always sits with another lady but the other lady wasn't there, so I mixed her up with a lady that sits alone.  Thinking association helps me remember, but I need to use other means of association. External factors like the color shirt they have on, who they're sitting with, and where they're sitting aren't effective means of remembering the individual. |

Thinking... I can do it! Almost there, just do a small washing up, then get food stuff I need in the living room, done. Even moved drumkit out of the way.

Thinking... I could've slept an hour longer. Builders were here on time but waited in their car. I went over to ask about it, they didn't understand me. Polish. Great!
Then one phoned and handed it to me, the foreman or something. A Polish dude who did speak Dutch. They had to wait for him and he was late. Oh great! Tosser! I get real PO when I lose out on an hour's sleep for no reason at all cos my body then aches all over. But at least they have started now. Isn't the building world grand. It's now mostly Polish, and these people come here and don't learn our language, don't speak English either. German at best, but who speaks that? Not me. |

Thinking... Day 2, and 2 days of waking up with coffee and noise of a Hilti is enough.

Thinking I'm glad I am working a half day today, I have a lot to do today and tomorrow. Also thinking my life is getting busier which is a good thing, but I need to remember to add a little down time or meditation time in my daily activities so I don't crash.
