Bernie Sanders has not dropped out of the Democratic presidential race.
He has merely canceled some campaign events.

It doesn't have to be over for Sanders. I wish him a speedy recovery.

My father is a lot older than Bernie Sanders. He has had stents put in, he has heart failure, he has a pace maker, he had a heart valve replacement. He is fully capable of taking care of himself and drives everywhere. I think Sanders will get back.

From The Hill:

"White House hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) will take part in the Oct. 15 primary debate after undergoing a procedure this week to have two stents inserted to address an arterial blockage. Sanders' campaign Thursday confirmed to The Hill that the 78-year-old Vermont lawmaker will participate in the Ohio event, which will also feature 11 other Democratic presidential contenders. . . The campaign also confirmed it was postponing a $1.3 million television ad buy in Iowa that was slated to begin airing on Thursday."

Keep going. He's power hungry. Given the chance, he'd take away everyone's money, freedom, and tell everyone what to do and how to live.

I love Bernie. I think he would do well to read more into contemporary economics. I kind of cringed at his, "Let's make the minimum wage 15$ ad!) but he's got the spirit of the sort of politician I'd like to see running this country.

With that said we can't let the Democratic vote be fragmented by the, "so-and-so isn't far enough to the Left; Feel the BERN!" people again. It's a goddamned shame that there isn't a real Leftist party in the United States (at least not one relevant at the Federal level) but there isn't ever going to be if Republican's + Big Money keep winning elections. Progress needs to be gradual and evolutionary; falling short of a major revolution.

Andrew Yang's UBI proposal is class. He isn't going to get the nomination but it's nice to see someone coming out of the tech sector (assuming tech VC's are included in the, "tech sector") with progressive ideas. I think it's worth noting that even good old Milton Friedman advocated for UBI in the 70's as the the Reverse Income Tax. It's time we moved to a model where every American citizen is afforded a decent standard of living. Poverty really, really sucks.

Side-note-- Joe Biden would already be president if he wasn't so handsy. lolol.

I'm not fond of politicians telling me what to do, and how to live my life. Stand by for a revolution if that happens.
