Hey ... I've been on a LOT of sites over the last few years, myself - and, I am a computer systems architect, recently retired/late of IBM ...
I can tell you that the sites are all built / run along the same lines; they tend to differ most in their 'funding models', to put it delicately.
I've (even!) met a couple of real women buried down in the morass of 'zombie' and 'fake' profiles(!), which sometimes use images from other/affiliated sites - but to get close to succeeding, it takes a LOT of patience, and more than a little bit of discernment, keeping the 'safe dating' tips in-mind.
The worst thing I see on this particular site is that one may see your profile has been 'viewed', and before you can even take a look at that profile - it's been 'deactivated'!
There are also those who are using the site as a front-end for their own activities (I was approached by a woman in her mid-30s (who was looking for 'intimate encounters')), which in her case, was gathering contacts for meetings for sex, at her place, during the day. So, one take-away from that is, unless you want to 'hook up', don't search with 'Intimate Encounters' as a criteria ;]

If self pity is what works for you, run with that..

It's called the internet, not the 'instant-net'.
There is no drive thru window. There is no
guarantee of speedy delivery.

Just like in real life, finding someone
takes time.

You added "lol" after saying "it really proves how ugly i am" which means there is still hope for you as you know how to make fun of yourself.

Keep looking... there is hope for the hopeless happy flowerforyou
