“Giving Advice”

You say it is worth the try.
That we should ask those questions why.
So what if we do.
Will they really see our view?

Or are we barking up the wrong tree.
And should just let things be.
For no matter what.
If we butt in it will put us in a rut.

In the end someone could get hurt.
If we think that we are giving an alert.
It could come back at us.
And leave us with more stress.

So should we give advice to a friend?
Or will it come back on us in the end.
At times we just never know.
Of what our words will bestow.

Will we say the right thing?
Or will it come back to sting?
At times we give advice.
And never think twice.

So how do we know what is right?
And that someone is not saying it out of spite.
I guess when they come back your way.
With a smile you will know you were right today.
