Hi Nice Guy, people are here for many reasons. In the forums especially. Some are here just to socialize and others to find a partner.

It's basically their business what ever that reason is. I found it best to focus on the positive things rather than the stuff I have no control over.

Sure I completely understand River, I'm just too straightforward for some people I guess. I call it spade some call it a shovel..

I used to feel the same way when I joined back in 2016, I had a different username back then. I didn't get why people were here if not looking for someone. It was worse when I joined the forums because that's where I found the actual genuine people. So naturally I expected everyone to be here for the same reasons I was... to find a nice man to date and possibly that special one to live happily ever after with.

What I found instead was quite a few friends and a lot of folks that just want to socialize. Some have been here for years, they already have partners but don't want to leave because they've developed great friendships.

If someone doesn't want to share their info with you or give you a picture, that's their right and business. :) ... You can't bully them into it, lol. It just means that that's not the right person for you so it's best to move past that and focus on the one's that are willing to do that exchange with you.

Your profile says you're interested in friendship first, so perhaps just focus on that for now and let the rest fall into place naturally?

It might be good to read the forum rules too... some of the bickering that's going on here is violating the rules. Just friendly advice
