I have had some extremely lean times when my EX was around......we had many Christmases where I had to explain to the kids the money situation and that it wont be much this year , give them lots of LOVE.. bake stuff if you can , I know what thats like Fresh....

And if you dont have so many presents under the tree, so what? Most of the time, at that age, kids dont really notice.....you can go to the dollar store and buy a lot of little presents to make it look like alot....and im sure you parents and the ex's parents will buy them things..... |

ya when my son was young......we would get a christmas hamper.....

and all that comercialized stuff about SANTA and being GOOD ...my kids where so well behaved and polite and DESERVED good things , and the other snotty rich kids where getting spoiled and it just made me so sad , but good kids are usuallly wise kids as well and understand

My family will all buy my kids gifts....but I want to also!!! ...and what about Santa?? I wouldn't even know who to call for help with xmas....

iTS called the working poor fresh.......we have the same system I believe.....
Dont feel bad.......explain to your kids that there may not be very many presents this year.......kids do understand more than you think......and they never remember the presents, they remember the good times they had with you!

have you tried the salvation army?? they arent THAT persnickity here , low income , welfare , tough times , either way , or churches ? they usually dont ask for documentation to back up your status as a person havin a rough time..

And in the mean time their dad who owes me over 30,000 in back child support is looking at 10-20 years in prison! So instead of putting him on some kind of chain gang and forcing him to work and support his kids my tax dollars will be going to support him! It's Fukced up!! How many dead beat dads do you think sit in a prison cell and live off of society instead off being forced to follow the law which says they are required to pay child support!!
