A bad question for the western world,but in other parts of the world it is often the way ,sometimes with first cousins resulting in many birth defects, lots of girls are forced into marriages they don't want and can come to harm because of Honour of the family.
So I would say it is not a good thing. Imagine someone on here arranging all the dates , crazy |

My mother had an arranged marriage, they were married for 45 years until my father died. All my siblings and I married for love, they all worked until death did us part. As Ben Afflect said "Marriage is hard work." and Jennifer Garner (his wife at that time) finally divorced the dude. .. so I say, each one can work. tis up to you to make it work. Both can work and be happy. I know about the marriage traditions in India. I have seen in also in the family of my husband from Pakistan. All marriages were arranged and they are very happy. Only my husband and I did love marriage (on the fourth day). Oh, I love and I miss that loving family.
In India are still missing 50 Million women. Means, it is not easy to find one. Anyway, if one or the other way, I believe it will become real love, for you are willing to make her your everything. God bless you. Namastei |

The second wife did not want to care for her and her three brothers so the brothers were sent to the grandmother and my mother was sent to her very strict uncle to raise. The uncle chose who she would marry, not the love of her life. Kinda sad for my mother really. I also like Fiddler on the Roof. One of those movies I can watch again and again. Oh that is sad, sorry to hear that rosie I know it works for some, but for me I prefer love.  Yes, I'd watch that one over and over again too! |
