How is things at the other side of the Pond?

Pretty good, I'm relaxing on my balcony right now.
It's lobster mini season today and tomorrow, it's amazing how dead it is here compared to when I was here before. A couple years ago the water was full of boaters and I'm only seeing a few out there. The Keys have changed quite a bit since hurricane Irma. |

Too warm here to go out. At least I am not in work til Friday. Hopefully the temperatures will go back to normal by then
It's funny when it's cold out, we want it to warm up... then when it's hot out, we want cooler weather.
I rather have it cold, as long as it's safe to ride the bike
I used to prefer the hotter weather, I'm leaning more towards cooler climates now, just not the extreme cold.
i am working with trying to actually change microclimates around the yard for when i am doing heat sensitive work with the plants.
i simply water the plants to lower the temperature around the area i will be at. in a practical sense, i can simply water the plants in a shady area to cool it down for a while, or leave a sprinkler on for a while. |

How does that effect the humidity in the air? Here, after it rains, the humidity is so thick it's difficult to breathe. Wouldn't that have the same effect on your plants watering them in the sun?
it is hot and dry here. the humidity does increase, but that doesn'harm the plants. the evaporative effect is what cools everything down.
Ah, yes... Dryer climates would have that effect.
That's cool you found a way that works best for the plants, and you as well. Working outside in the Keys I found putting a frozen cloth on the back of my neck works good. The landscaping company generally waters the foliage at night or before the sun comes out. |

Has anyone got some rain for me, please?
Lol, good afternoon Larsi.
I remember you wanting the rain to stop... Now you're wanting it back. A bit fickle don't you think? |
