Well I guess I'd be a first gen watcher, the Monkeys were and odd deal as most people know by now. The best of the Monkees (?) is/was Mike Nesmith who is a very talented song writer and musician from Texas (I always say "if it weren't for Canadains and Texans we wouldn't have much music").
His mother invented White Out and he had some real commercial success as a song writer when the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band did his "Some of Shelly's Blues" in the movie "Paint Your Wagon". Btw if you didn't know, now you do NGDB was the band in that movie. Mike Nesmith is also considered the Godfather of music videos for his "Elephant Parts" video back around 1980. God? How do I know this s**t, why do I know this s**t?///?????............. |

I wasn’t a fan per se, but I did watch the TV show a few times as a teenager and saw them not far from downtown LA (exactly where I can’t remember) driving by in their Monkeemoblie. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Monkees_(TV_series)#/media/File:Monkeemobile2.jpg |
