Yes, I heard about him dying an hour or so ago. I didn't think anyone else would care.

Half the Monkees, half the Beatles, yet the Rolling Stones...

Half the Monkees, half the Beatles, yet the Rolling Stones... The two best guitarists from the Stones are gone, Brian Jones and Mick Taylor. |

I've always been a Monkees fan. I saw them in concert a year before Davy Jones died.

I've always been a Monkees fan. I saw them in concert a year before Davy Jones died. It was really strange. Just yesterday I saw an ad for a show that Mike and Mickey are playing near me. I immediately thought, why isn't Peter playing with them? Typically through the years it was always Mike who didn't tour with them. I did some checking and Peter was talking about other projects he was pursuing. I guess not. |

It was mentioned on my local radio station earlier. May he rest in peace.

Peter was touring with them off and on for years. A while back he was diagnosed with neck cancer. Maybe that got the best of him.

Half the Monkees, half the Beatles, yet the Rolling Stones... The two best guitarists from the Stones are gone, Brian Jones and Mick Taylor. Very few Americans know this; Rory Gallagher was asked to join the Stones and passed. Greatest guitarist ever! |
