Tired of men asking if I am on Hangout!! I'm tired of the repetitive conversation as to why I won't use that type of app. Anything you invite a probe into your equipment with allows a way to hack your devices. |

I had hangout when it first came out.
I also did facetime on facebook. I have skype but never turn it on anymore. Aside from the occassional skype with my children and grandchildren, its off. In the past, I have skyped and shared screens and watched movies that way. I even watched movies with my son and his buddies while they were stationed at Guam and Japan. I haven't done that with anyone lately. My computer remote sharing is off and my firewall asks but I always decline. I will only allow a skype if we have talked by other means and skype is only activated by 'date and time' agreed on. Then, its shut off again. Hell, my camera isn't even plugged in anymore. I get requests for hangout constantly and I just ignore them. As far as I'm concerned, the site messaging system works just fine for figuring out who I can trust. Most requests are just scammers. If they are real, they will message me and correspond a bit before face to face over tcp/ip. |
