How can I hide my profile or temporarily shut it down without actually deleting it. Wanting to take a break but want also to be able to reboot my search at a later date without having to re-do a new profile

just deactivate. no one can view but nothing gets deleted

You can edit your pictures and set them all to private, then go to settings and deactivate your membership.
You'll be able to log in at anytime and re-activate. At that time reset your photos for public viewing. Hope that helps
