Dude, no presidential candidate deserves to win. I believe EVERYONE should be voted out of congress/presidency and there should be a new election to vote people back in. You see little by little citizens in this country are urged to think less and less. Then listen more. This is a dangerous combination as it is the CITIZENS that hold authority over OUR government. This is explained quite well in the declaration of independance. The president holds only little authority in how our country is run. Anyone who thinks a different president will make it all better is dangerously niave

Hey, Drivinmenutzdrinker

Sounds to me like you're hinting around at something I've been saying for a long time:

EVERY elected official, from the President all the way down to Mayberry dog catcher, should have term limits. TWO terms is quite enough. NO elected official should be making a career out of elected office (are you listening, Teddy K.?).

You are voting for Hillary. Hmmm...good choice if you want someone in there that the rest of the international world cannot stand. And YOU think we are at war now?

It's simple arithmetic:

OBAMA + OPRAH = WHO FREAKING CARES!

Oprah may be the most popular person on daytime TV. But, I'll guarantee you that there's even more people out there that despises her.

After all, Oprah committed one of the most henious crimes known to the world of television:

SHE GAVE US DR. PHIL!grumble

Millions of Americans can never forgive her for THAT!laugh

What ever happened to voters that can think for themselves?

Where in the US did Oprah build a school for needy kids?- Nowhere!

What about having a talk-show makes one an expert in the opinions of what this country needs?- Nothing!

I was reading somewhere about the loop-holes they had to go through just so Oprah could legally do this!
More reason for me not to vote for a candidate that is willing to stretch the law in order to get elected!drinker

Obama yo mamma!!laugh laugh

I think it WAS a clever move and saved money on campaigning to have Oprah inthere en I think that was the intent. LOL. I have to say, there are things about Obama I agree with. There is some progressive thinking with regard to our younger generations and I cannot see him having a philosophy of "holy war". I have been listening to all of the candidates carefully. I also check to see who they choose as advisors. You might be surprised.

sorry to admit it, but I am a little bit bigoted against obama. Think Saudi Arabia...women can't vote, women can't drive, get 200 lashes and 6 months prison for being gang raped? and how many wasp,s flew planes into the world trade center and the pentagon? And Mitt Romney has to defend HIS religon? duhhhhhhhhhh

I thought Obama was christian? Besides, this staement is lumping and a half truth;^]

I don't like how Obama is saying he didn't vote to go into Iran as part of his campaign. It's true, he didn't vote yes, but he didn't vote no either, he didn't even show up for the vote. Both Biden and Kucinich voted no;^]

Maybe that was Obama's statement to congress that the people should vote on this war. I do not remember a referendum asking the people. He made it clear how he felt about that.

Don't mean to sound rude when I say this, but that's as lousy an excuse as people who don't vote in the general ellections saying "I'm protesting the system". In my humble, if you don't vote then you're simply idle hands. I'm very dissapointed in Obama for not doing his job on this vote;^]

Obama has been a professor for most part of his career. He's nto a politician with experience, but probably a politician with ideals that can't suit the reality. If he gets elected, he'll be another Wilson.

Passiespel, why would you say that Hilary is unpopular among other countries? Do you have any evidence to back up your claim?

Drivinmenutz, I agree that much of what the Fed is doing nowadays needs to stop. The whole debate on gay marriage and the debate on abortion should left to the individual states. But, since our times is much different from when U.S. was first founded, the role of the Fed has changed. In order for us to be competitive and maintain stability, the Fed should be given more power than when it was first designed. As such, matters like trading, foreign policies, etc. should be the Fed's responsibility while civil matters like marriage should remain as responsibilites for each state.

I disagree, "equal protection of law", meaning equal rights is a federal issue. Banning gay marriage is unconsitutional and hence needs to be lifted across the board;^]

I think that all members of Congress who voted for the war should be put on trial as accomplices in War Crimes, and probably a couple more charges, like treason, murder, and torture . So that would leave Ron Paul and Obama , and Dennis Kuccinich , and a couple others that could be considered useful.

I'll assume you meant IraQ and not IraN.

It's true Obama did not show up for the vote, but he had a good reason. HE WAS NOT A MEMBER OF THE U.S. SENATE. The vote to authorize the Iraq war was in Oct. 2002. Obama was not elected to the Senate until Nov. 2004 and took office in Jan. 2005.

No, I mean the vote to give Bush authority for going into Iran. It was brought up in the debates by sen Gravel. Hillary voted yes, Biden & Kucinich voted no, Obama was a no show;^]

OK, sorry. You're talking about that non-binding resolution that decelared the Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organization. It was not an authorization of force, but many agree(as do I)that it is just another step in Bush's march to war with Iran. Obama did miss that vote. Dodd also voted no.

Actually I sit corrected. My apologies, Obama did not vote on the war because he was not allowed to. He was not inducted yet....for all of you critics.
