I am more interested in the content of the message than the photo, the substance of the message and the meaning between the lines. I would appreciate the message to be in complete sentences. Once the initial meeting is established, it would be nice to have a face to the conversation, if the two people would like to stay in touch.

Boy this topic is so debatable.It is a double edge sword.If you have a pic up ,there is only tho ways it can go.A response or no response.Thats it.They will either take the time to get to know you or not.Nothing is hid.But when no pic is there.You take the Chance that you will be involved with who nos what.No offence to any body!I have yet to meet anyone in person.But if i ever do,And we meet.And ther not who they are in pic. I would walk away.To me that shows deception from the start.
I have never yet run into a profile that would show a real pic.If they did not have one on profile.Just keep saying they will.Fair,is fair.So from now on,NO PIC,NO RESPONSE!!
AS for me.What you see is what you get.What i type is who i am.No secrets.LOL

but the main question is and will always remain ...how do you know the picture you are looking at is really that person and not someone else,just like how do you know when they are talking to you that they mean what they say and are not just feeding you a lot of BS...if you dont personally know someone on here than you really dont know any thing about the person you're talking to ..just something to think about

So my friend says....honest she looks just like Drew Barrymore...LOL...ya think that's cause that's whose picture they sent ya pal....You can never be sure you just have to go on faith (lol yeah right) and your gut!! And when it all comes down to the finish line...who cares...you like someone or you don't. I have met some really great friends on here with and without pictures...and I have had my share of creeps too...it's a toss of the dice.

I have never worried about pictures. It's nice to have them, but does not determine the person. In time, they will send one. I met my current boyfriend, not being worried about his picture. He finally sent me one, and if I had gone by it, I would have been out of luck. His picture did not do him justice. He was much more handsome in person, and to this day, is the sexiest, most handsome man I know.

I like women who put hot babe pictures on instead of theirs.

Why not email/IM someone without a pic? As mentioned, some people don't have decent computers at home or may use public use pc's. I met someone over the summer who did not have a pic on their profile (not from this site). He did send a pic when we moved to personal email communication. It was not a 'match', but we remain friends to this day.

well i have a take on this topic i look at every profile if what they say in the forums catches my attention those with pics and without. now those without better have something in their profile that catches my attention other wise what do i have to break the ice with.No pic and a short about me section and i move on. On the other hand a nice pic makes for a good ice breaker but if their about me section is a drag then i move on. I myself have my pic up but prefer the one i have but have had comments when i put my pic up bout wow your cute wish i had known that. So to me it does not matter if you have a pic or not as long as you have something i am interested in to say.
