Be a pioneer Mingle2!

As a friendly gesture to your clients, delete the word 'old' from your superb site.....ENTIRELY. Why? Because it's offensive. Plenty of women protest (quite rightly) that they're not as old as their, um, billing indicates!!

I should think not too. These days, WHO IS?!

Yes, the number can serve as some sort of an indicator; but surely if we see JANE SMITH 29 YEARS, or even just 29.....isn't that enough? Why "OLD?!!"

Be daring Mingle2. Give it a shot.

I'm old.

I've never been OFFENDED by being called old.

Sometimes I've been disappointed to realize that I AM old, but that's for me to deal with.

Not sure what your objection is.

I thought you were going to come on an On Line Dating site, and try to protest On Line Dating, at first. This is even more of a surprise.

Yes! The site should list our age as approximately how far we are from death. I'm Cranky_Geezer. I fart dust and I'm 18 years away from the average American male age of death.

you all are offended by words
they only affect you if you let them
wonders why you let things like that rent space in your head
hope it pays well
<shrug>
to each there own i guess

i atm am OLD
<shrug>
i never thought i would make it to 16 let alone the age i am now

i do hope to get older and maybe (i dought i will live that long) but may i live long enough to be an old fart : )

now with all that being said, i will all ways be a kid at heart : )
with the few videos i have seen on people talking about this subject
they want it changed to so many years young instead of years old .

to me ... its just a date to let me know how far i have been able to stay alive in this nut case world

may you live many more years ,just kick back and enjoy the ride : )

Years old is quite common to list it ije that. That doesn't need to change.

If we weren't growing Older we would be dead. Not here at all.

Be thankful !

The word old does not offend me. I think that Keith's suggestion is intended to promote reevaluating the more negative perceptions of what old means. I'm in favor of that.

huh The word old - as in "20 years old" - is offensive? Nonsense!

I prefer the word "stale".

I'm 47 years stale, like a loaf of bread left on the counter too long, or lingering fart that refuses to disperse.

Now, just don't call me "moldy" 'cos you'll hurt my feelings! :cry:

I'm not bothered by the word old. I think it's weird when some say they are "70 years young".

King Richard will settle this issue.

"From this day forth, everyone over the age of 65 - and everyone who doesn't provide his correct age - shall be known as archaic."
