Wouldee,

Understand you are thinking on a much more complex and higher intellectual level here. I know you probably can't help it, its you pattern of thinking and its way above the average.

Try to look at this particular one as basic math, thats all. Not all the variables involved..just straight addition and subtraction.

That is all that is meant by this thread. bigsmile

sumthin difrint, hehe

The schools here in California teach the pythagorean theorm in what appears to be a four week cycle.

It takes 15 minutes to teach a child this, when done one on one.

I've done it many times. I'm not a school teacher, by any means.

Now, ad infinitum to the discipline, subject, critria and there you see what I see.

I have no clue how one would dismantle an education system bent on preserving faculty entitlements and sub-standard wages, though the benefits far exceed the quality of Corpoarate America in their allure, and without the risk of a free market forcefield of survival of the fittest.

The dismantling of the culture will be resisted.

The schools refuse to adopt Bloom's model.

What you are suggesting, incorporates Bloom's model.

It has been rejected because the system itself is antithetical in practice.

Good Luck.

I would be in selfish aggrandisement to suggest anything other than a glimpse of my insight.

Google Bloom's Taxonomy.

It merely is a model of the critical thinking path in development of young minds.

It is very thorough, very simple, very accurate, very astute and an incredibly simple observation platform.

APPLYING THAT ON A LARGE SCALE IS NOT SO SIMPLE.
