Sunlight streams through shady treetops
leaving a patch of peaceful grace onward I trod cross grassy carpet striving to reach this restful place The tree is dancing in playful breezes and below it rests a glowing stone my lover is waiting in this valley to meet me and I rush to meet him all alone I sit by the stone and lean upon it without any lingering need to cry For he was old, and I am older, what a peaceful place to die |

I am mesmerized by your poetic words - the imagery: beautiful, sad, moving, love, loss, lost, wisdom, maturity, life's meaning...
Thank you for sharing your poems. |

Well, death is just part of life... and I wanted to portray it as something... not entirely bad/scary. As a needed rest I guess.

Like they say, there are only things that are certain and that is death and taxes....it's a shame we can't do without either. If Noah can live 600 years why can't we?

I personally would not want to live forever... especially if I were the only one that could live forever... man... it would be bad. I had a poem about immortality... but I lost it. It's not on this computer anymore. Oh well.
