I am struggling to find my peace of mind
In a world of pain where venom reigns, Tearing everyone down, destroying renown On sadistic whim, separating life from limb. The world around us has gone to rust From neglect and despair. Is it beyond repair? Are we as species equivalent to feces? Or can we do better by removing the fetters That shackle our minds, making us blind To the simple truth we held close in our youth That the world can change if we expand our range Of knowledge and thought, using courage youth brought? Have we lost our way? Or have we forgotten That each new day needs not become rotten? |

I am struggling to find my peace of mind In a world of pain where venom reigns, Tearing everyone down, destroying renown On sadistic whim, separating life from limb. The world around us has gone to rust From neglect and despair. Is it beyond repair? Looking from a distant hill, what I perceive through smoke and shrill Is that some seeds are about to be busted Why else hell's fury unfurled & Venom destroying Renown In plain sight of distant hills? For a long time, people lived in La La Land It is Love that was gone to Rust For love to exist, I must cease to exist So Buddha told & Shakespeare wrote. and my good friend will wait one more day then twitter PS: Cheer up ActionLynx I think most of us people are pawns in a bigger game the reason for this write is cause whosoever wins in US, wins the world |

Oh, it wasn't about me. I just wanted to spontaneously write something.
While searching for a topic, I thought of a few people I know, and some lines began popping into my head. So I experimented to see how I could make them work. It's also a different rhyme and beat scheme than I typically use. So it turned out to be a double experiment. But thank you, Palghat! |

I know you said it wasn't about you but as a poet, what you write is what you feel or think expressed with passion in words. Well written sad poem |

I somehow found the content very contextual; with the times.
