But, how do you get someone to even consider *starting* a long distance chat, to see if there is something there to build on? I have no ties here (other than I'd have to sell my house), no love for the area, and would *readily relocate.. But no one wants to even chat if they are more than an hours drive away... How long is a string? To me distance really doesn't matter that much. But I don't think I could get in love with someone I've never met in real life. And I don't think a long distance relationship is sustainable over long distances for long time. But what is long time? I'm not sure... Starting with friendship and then take it as it comes, I guess.. |

Waste of time if one doesn't move fairly soon after the decision to have a relationship.

It can only be considered a waste of time if the other party has no serious intentions in the "relationship" from the very beginning.Believe me,it sucks.
