Can't give much advise in the software area, but noticed your hardware specs. you need at LEAST one gig and a good graphics card to start. The rest should be fine. I would recoomend 2 gig, you can get that now in 667 MHz for under $100, so worth the investment for any types of graphics and multimedia stuff.

Hope this helps! :)

well this Mobo takes DDR2 800 and for now i'm just starting with 512 because i can get it for $15

Buy your ram online and go with 1g, it will make a difference and im not sure if hell be happy with 512mg... i happen to have a 1gb stick of DDR2 id be willing to sell, i bought it for a backup

And you people call yourselves "geeks"?

Here's what you need. GIMP (free, open source program for graphics nuts, does almost everything PS can do except put a hole in your wallet.)

Adobe PS Elements 2 (been using it for almost 3 years now and I still consider it the best 50 bucks I ever spent, and now it's like, 10 bucks online)

Or...go do a search on Google for "Adobe CS3 Master Edition" torrent and do the torrent thing if you have BitTorrent.

You're welcome.

And stay the hell away from Vista. That thing'll get you killed, man!!
