A couple in Canada was arrested for trapping and hog ting a man for trying to get together sexually with their 13yr old daughter.

The mom found her daughter's chat messages with a 28 ,yr old man on their computer.

Mom called the Police about it, who said they couldn't do anything about it.

So the mom sent a message to the man, saying she was her daughter, to meet her at her house at certain time her parents were gone.

Man came to the home and the parents attacked him, and tied him up, then called the police. To the couples surprise, they were both arrested for assult and confining an individual.

Yeah, OJ was shocked also to hear he could not 'take' back
his stuff at gunpoint, off to jail for him.

This couple should be going there also.
That thing about takin the law into your own hands?

it seems to me that if there were REALLY messages on their daughters computer that showed that a 28 year old man was trying to have sex with their 13 year old daughter, then the police would have most CERTAINLY acted upon them, since they would constitute criminal intent.

the fact that they DIDNT sort of implies that those messages were not as incriminating as they are trying to claim they were, and they just decided to jump to conclusions, and take the law into their own hands, which is ALWAYS illegal!

they were lucky that they weren't also charged with 'kidnapping',too, which is what they technically did, when they tied him up,and would not let him leave.

people have watched so much of these ridiculous programs on tv,and movies that they have become disassociated with reality, and actually believe that is the 'normal' way that people do things.

hopefully,THIS will be the wake up call to them that will show them[and everybody else LIKE them!!] what 'reality' REALLY is,and stop them from going even FARTHER off of the reservation!!

Sorry folks.. you set out to meet up with a 13 year old girl you set yourself up for a world of hurt ..either by the law or by the parents

Nothing good was going to come out of that meeting. Nothing

Nope, so obvious the law would have been all over it.

Clearly. The law wasn't . So I ask the question

If it was your kid..what would you do?..wait for the law. Or protect your kid.

I have seen some moms protect their kids..no law needed

There should have been a dad or an uncle to "explain" to this Chester ( sob) how wrong he was. Many lessons have been learned thru this tactic.

On the TALK show that aired the story , the 5 Women all said the couple should Not have been changed. And their audience agreed.

However, this happened in Canada and not the US. It had been 6 weeks since the parents told the police the man was talking to their daughter Online.
And police said they couldn't do anything.

I saw this story. I had trouble understanding that the police didn't do anything. The parents are right to do anything to protect their kids.

I absolutely love it! I would have done things slightly different :grinning:
Judged by 12 will be their best bet, I would NEVER convict anyone for any action that prevents a child from being harmed.

Do they have citizens attest in Canada? But sadly, even in the US, they would have went to jail...you can't entrap someone, then beat them up, and then tie them down...had he come to their house without an invite, they might have not went to jail, otherwise it's entrapment...
