Senator Kamala Harris wants to propose a bill that forces home Owners to help pay others rent. If a person makes under $100,000 and rent is more than 30% of their income, rent will be supplemented. Doesn't matter if home Owners are paying more the 30% of their income for their mortgage. Just another socialist idea to steal others wealth. That's not what this country was founded on.

based soley on the info you've provided here, i'd agree that stinks of an ill conceived concept.

Id agree that the idea stinks, not that the country was not founded on it though ...lol

other people working to supplement someone else's wealth, that is.

Democrats are trying to take away the reason for people to work hard, save, and invest. They are destroying the American dream.

hardly.

people work hard for three reasons:

1. to be able to buy stuff (that isnt changing)
2. to stay busy and feel productive (that wont change)
3. to hold the 'i work hard' badge of honor over everyone else (That wont change either)

That sounds like a teenager living at home with parents lol. The American dream is to own a piece of the pie. Work hard and be rewarded for it. Take that away and we will all sit on our ***** and wait for a handout.

Anyone with the slightest bit of ambition better be voting Republican in Nov.

exactly what I said, the "I work hard" badge of honor fosters the idea of being 'rewarded' based on that hard work.

no one is taking away the 'reward' that having money provides, or the correlation between having more reward for more money (and the accompanying assumption of harder work)

They will be taking away the reward if home Owners are paying their mortgage plus others rent. It's everyone's responsibility to support themselves. If someone is paying more than 30% of their income for rent and utilities, they need to get a cheaper place, get a better job, turn down the a.c.

well, not if homeowners are not being TARGETED to specifically pay that. Homeowners and non homeowners based on INCOME will all continue to pay taxes as always, and the government will then take that budget and divide it in the way they are required or have voted to.

nothing changes except how tax revenue is spent.

Home owners don't get the same consideration. Even though most probably pay more than a renter. This morning I paid $996 for house insurance. On the 18th I sent SunTrust $1000. That's a lot more than people in my area pay for rent. To add a tax to me to supplement someone paying less in rent is nothing more than stealing wealth.

What's a socialist Democrat. Is that like the opposite of trump. A whore shagging grand wizard, who jisms on a m16 and a Benjamin?

Why don't you tell the truth?
The Democrats invented the KKK and supported slavery.

THE REPUBLICANS FREED THE SLAVES!

Sounds like you and Kanye have been drinking the same tea.

Taken in part.

So when did things start to change? When Franklin D. Roosevelt, a Democrat from New York, instituted the New Deal to fight the Great Depression in the 1930s, the parties shifted in a big way. The Democratic Party (previously champions of “limited government”) were now supporting a movement marked by mass job creation, checks on big business, and overall workers’ rights. Those are all (very essential) “big government” sorts of things, which shook the Democrats from their roots.

In the 1960s, President John F. Kennedy, a Democrat from Massachusetts, wanted to pass sweeping civil rights legislation (again, “big government”), including the end of segregation in the South. After his assassination, Lyndon Johnson (himself a Southern Democrat) got the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964. This was essentially the final nail in the coffin; the majority of white Southerners -- resistant to the changes enacted by the Civil Rights Act -- abandoned the Democratic Party and joined the Republican Party, establishing a link between big business favoritism and backwoods racism that endures to this day.

where did it say anyone was adding a tax?

tax is on INCOME, it doesnt matter what other things we CHOOSE to spend income on.

people earn more than you and rent as well, and still pay those taxes. Its not a target of homeowners, and there is no mention that tax will have to be raised.

Democrats don't understand that money comes from somewhere. we all might get a tax increase then the money goes to the people not responsible enough to have good credit. It's wealth redistribution.

Money does come from somewhere, TAX REVENUE. and tax revenue is then ALLOCATED to different resources, even without increasing the revenue.

the information provided does not state that a tax raise will be necessary.

and,to give SUPER WEALTHY BILLIONAIRES a $2 TRILION DOLLAR TAX BREAK ,while they try to make middle class citizens PAY MORE to try to make up the difference DOESNT sound like 'stealing wealth' to you, just because it is favoring super wealthy billionaires??

cuz,if the SUPER WEALTHY BILLIONAIRES,who just got a $2 TRILLION DOLLAR TAX BREAK,thanks to trumps new tax plan were paying THEIR FAIR SHARE OF TAXES,then you wouldnt have to worry about paying EXTRA taxes to try to make all of the uncollected tax money up,would you??

[where did you THINK that $2 TRILLION DOLLARS that the country needs to pay for things was going to come from, since the SUPER WEALTHY BILLIONAIRES don't have to pay it now??? ]

welcome to the results of trump's new tax plan!!!

I hope you are happy with yourself!

[or,at least will stop COMPLAINING now that NOW,you have to pay extra taxes!!]

All of the middle class I've talked to got a tax cut. Don't vote democrats in because all these welfare plans they have will cost more money. They will certainly raise taxes. Keep republicans in and vote in more.

That bill hasn't passed and it won't if everybody with ambition votes Republican. It's only an extra tax if democrats take the Senate.

not so certain, because it is not a one to one correlation

reagan cut taxes 2.9 percent in 81
after .17 increase in welfare from 80-81

obama 1.8 in 2013
after a .45 decrease in welfare from 12-13

kennedy 1.6 in '64
after a 0.2 decrease in welfare from 63-64

obama 1.3 in '10
after a .83 increase in welfare from 09-10

trump 1.1 in '17
after a .86 decrease in welfare from 16-17

that means of all tax cuts greater than 1 percent, 3 were republican and 2 were democrat

that means of all tax cuts greater than 1 percent, 2 happened after welfare had increased, and 3 after it decreased

Obama increased the deficit because we were in a recession. A major recession. Democrats are definitely after the welfare vote. Open borders and welfare for all. Reminds me of Obama's campaign. If you can't pay your rent vote Obama. Then the people who got evicted said he turned on them. We will see if it works with the mentally challenged again.

the claim was democrats will raise taxes for welfare.

I gave the information on how many tax CUTS have happened under democratic presidents AND how many have happened DESPITE raising welfare expenditure.

nothing to do with recession, or borders, or mentally ill,,,, just the facts.

That money has to come from somewhere. The economy is doing great. People who are paying 30% of their income should increase their income. Vote republican in Nov and make America great again.

I've worked for 3 weeks and already accrued 7.4 hours of vacation time. :hugging:

noone disputed money comes from 'somewhere'. The dispute is whether that means taxes must be raised.

history shows that taxes can be cut EVEN if welfare spending increases.

I pay taxes on rental income every year. Now it's a job plus rental income. I'm a single mother and yes I do more than my share. Nobody's fault you didn't accomplish anything but your own.
