Ok then op .. I will assume you have an athletic body ... wearing a thong for males carries less of a risk than to females .. there is a risk that thongs spread colonic bacteria .. e. Coli for example .. if that bacteria gets into areas of the body it shouldn't ., it is very aggressive and can make you extremely septic ..
Otherwise your biggest risk is irration. Either from chaffing ..or from **** discharge if your sphincter muscles do not have normal tone ..if you have haemorrhoids .. then thongs are a no no .. What colour are your thongs

but for women there is more risk of colonic bacteria being transferred to the urethra and causing a urinary tract infection .. unless you superglue it in place .. there used to be a product that body builders use to stick there posing costume in place so that it doesn't move . But not sure if that is still Available :

Some men don't look good in shorts , so some don't wear them.
You see many women in shorts but shouldn't !!  Men are. Usually more self conscious.

That's actually good information, thanks Blondey. I never liked them as they are extremely uncomfortable. But there have been one or two of my ex's that wanted me to wear one. So now if it happens in the future, I can explain why it's not healthy
