AJ, the Coast Guard is a good place. You will have to go through Navy boot camp and deal with the crap there. I have the utmost respect for the "Brown Water Navy". Pulled a few of my old friends to safty in Alaska. Yeh, go for it! Just don't plan to jump services just yet.Sorta wished I went there than the Navy myself.

I know, its totally not the plan to switch branches, just an option down the road. Most likely, I'd do my first contract and get out, use my new knowledge and college money to do something better with myself.

I'm just at a dead end right now, and even though I'm getting the promotions I want at work, there just isnt the money in the budget to give me a living wage. I'm so far behind on things now, I'm working 3 jobs, and don't have time for schooling.

I really think that this is my answer right now! And even if I don't end up joining, I will still have worked my ass of (literally) to better my health!
