back when did mere 'lip' get you a ticket? I think you still have to actually break a law, and not just hurt a cops feelings or make them feel not 'respected' enough. cops are supposed to be examples of upholding the law, not being above it... I should have clarified my fault, I meant when you got pulled over and you lipped off he or she would then write you up and give you a ticket for speeding or whatever traffic laws one violated. they still do. cops have and practice SERIOUS discretion regarding crimes they pursue and/or cite and/or arrest for ... and if you break the motor vehicle laws, they should cite it accordingly. |

Non fatal response ... Kudos _________________________________________________________________ Kudos for sure :).. because it happens 10,000 times a day Exactly, we only really hear about it the rare times they use lethal force. So... are you saying we are only imagining that we are hearing about this? Sure didn't show up in the major network news. Unless it would have been the officer using unlawful force the media isn't interested. |

thank you for the information. Good on those who find non lethal means to address these 'assaults' and what I can imagine are the various DEGREES of threat they actually involve. there are literately 1000's of cops who dont use lethal force but it depends where they are too, I mean if you're a cop in Mayberry with Aunt Bee and the major crime is breaking and entering is different from lets say South side Chicago where every hood rat wants to take the cops out would you say that WHEREVER you are being 'assaulted' by a suspect is potentially dangerous, and more so than lets say, watching one run away? and would you say that the training and wherewithall to find non lethal means to deal with said 'assaults' is a testament to how well a cop does their job compared to one what has to use lethal force against running suspects? Police (city, county and state) are trained to use the least amount of force necessary to subdue an assailant. The problem is in major cities (like Chicago) the day can be going well and then suddenly the same officer's life is on the line and he has a second or two to respond. Living with that kind of threat would make anyone trigger happy. Whenever a local officer is in a shooting match and kills the assailant it is policy they are placed paid leave. Many end up having to go through some sort of counseling because killing someone usually causes mental stress and anxiety. |

I showed you where you miscalculated your math. It left you son with $100 extra a month, not a $1000. Yes these people choose this. These welfare queens are having multiple kids with different dads, in and put of prison, in gangs, drug deals, and theives. These kids have the same DNA as these thug dad's and unambition mom. They don't want to work and have a decent life. Their personalities match mom and dad. No actually you didnt. lets recap 3000 per month pay rent at 900 leaves 2100 pay car note at 250 leaves 1850 buy food at 300 leaves 1550 purchase gas for car at 200 leaves 1350 pay car insurance at 200 leaves 1150 pay electric/gas at 200 leaves 950 so, nearly 1000 a month to spare ... and DNA does not create values, morals and standards no one here knows ANYTHING about the dad and all that we know about the mom is she held a JOB like I said, there is ZERO actual evidence the deceased or their parent didnt want to work or have a 'decent' life, and being an only child, obviously there is no substance behind the stereotyping of this family as 'having multiple kids with multiple dads' but do tell, the assumptions are revealing alot more about the person making them than the people they are making them about, especially when so easily proven wrong in regards to the person they make them about.... Except you said that $3000 is gross. I had my kids young and I can squeeze a penny. That's how I know it's bs. The evidence is he was glorifying a gangster life and they did nothing to get him away from it. My exhusband pays $450 for his mortgage. He makes more than $3000 a month. Anybody could live cheaper here. But it's not as exciting as the ghetto. I have kids as well. I have no reason to BS. it may be BS for YOUR kid and HIS situation. but I know my kid and HIS situation. there is no evidence he was doing anything but sitting in a rideshare with someone who had shot out of the car there is also no evidence of what 'they' did to get him away from it how was your husbands credit when he got that mortgage? did making more than 3000 a month have any part in his ELIGIBILITY for such a mortgage? anybody could NOT live cheaper there, because they first have to QUALIFY and once again, people are living where they can afford. and then amongst what they CAN AFFORD, they choose luxuries like 'being bored' no one is CHOOSING violence and drugs for the SAKE of not being bored You go from how easy it is to live well on $3,000 gross a month to not being able to qualify for a loan or apt. It's definitely bs. 2 parents with an only child old enough to work should be able to afford a decent place to live. Like I said before they like the ghetto. |

They were nice 1,2 & 3 bedroom apartments. the build was followed in the newspapers and the city was showcasing them as clean affordable housing. In a cluster of about ten 12 story buildings. It was geared for income families and section 8 In 5 years they were ruined.. a roach and rat infested pig sty. Garbage everywhere. They were throwing the garage right out there windows. Overrun with drugs and prostitution. The crime rate was so high that the NYPD put a satellite police station there and the NYPD stationed full time housing division police there as well.. just to roam the hallways and stairways. That too was followed in the papers. They received very nice apartments and turned them into the ghetto because that is the lifestyle they choose. |

The bad living conditions are because they live there. It's hard to believe people live with bugs but they do. They don't have the mentality to keep a decent place to live. During the housing crash ,I went and looked at a small newer built home. It was in a bad neighborhood. The house across the street had their kids bikes in grass that looked like a jungle. There was graffiti sprayed on signs and everywhere. The homes were nice. The people were ****. I didn't buy the home because the only people who would have rented it was trash like the ones already living there. They are more like animals than humans. |

But I suppose that is someone else's fault.. not theirs. It can't be theirs... that would mean taking ownership of the issue.. and that will not happen.
Makes me laugh, growing up.. we had nothing.. but the house was always clean, we were clean and our clothes were always clean. |

I grew up poor too. That's why it makes no sense to me when they pretend it's about money. It's about the way a person lives. Normal people maintane their home.
They have set up so many programs to help people, extended welfare, free education, $0 home loans; but some people can't be helped. |

My mother was in real estate and took me with her to look at homes. We have been to plenty that looked like the bees knees on the outside but were shitty and filthy inside. Dirtiness is not exclusively economic at all. I have also been to lovely townhomes and apartments that one would never guess were income based. stop with the stereotyping. Dirty people are dirty. And that has NOTHING to do with subjecting kids to violence and drugs, which was the topic. |

I for one was not stereotyping. I was stating what happened with one housing project in NY... which is .. fact
|
|
|

And I agreed. some people do choose 'filth'
rarely is someone going to choose violence and drug immersion for their kids. |

That's why her son should have had his sorry *** at work, instead of running the streets. yeah, high school students should never go ANYWHERE except their school or their job .... and only through teleportation because if they are in a vehicle, they are obviously only 'running the streets' the stereotype assumptions keep coming ... even on this site, its a first for so many to come from the same one source ...astonishing really |

Growing up we had the Park hill housing projects not far from me. I watched them build it as a kid. That what people in the ghetto refuse to admit. They are more like animals than humans. cleanliness is a matter not exclusive to income, but in a mindset that has that preset foundation, they wont see anything but that connection. I just said I grew up poor and I know it's not about money. It's about lifestyle. I just said I went to look at a nice home but wouldn't buy it because it was in the ghetto. Lack of money doesn't keep you from cutting grass or cleaning your house. It dang sure doesn't make you spray graffiti or bust out windows. We have 2 sets of projects here. One they put elderly women in. It looks nice. The other is for the undesirables. It's not that bad here because they will evict and never let them back. |

It kept me out of trouble and paid for the things I needed. At your age, it's a shame that you think kids should run the streets without any responsibility. That's how they get in trouble. The mother should have had him involved in something productive. At 17 years old he was wanting money. I bet the shooting was over drugs. He chose drug dealing over working. |

I have a friend who lives in a decent neughbood closer to ATL. One night we pulled into his driveway and two black men were standing in the yard with hoods over their heads. It turned out to be teenagers. It was January and they were out late at night seeing what they could steal. They called their parents and the parent came to argue. They said the boys used to know the people who lived their and missed them and we were racist who didn't want blacks hanging out in our yard. We said they could explain to the police. They left very quickly. The parents of these thugs want what they can steal and the money the make from selling drugs.

I personally think Zellmer was lucky or fortunate he was in Racine County Wisconsin vs the Bronx in New York city or south side Chicago where he would have been shot, tasered or tuned up.
Assaulting law enforcement is a no no and a recipe for unpleasant things coming your way. |
