Good ring, Galaxy.

I have a high interest/hobby with gems after several geology/mineralogy classes in college.
It amazes me that such perfection and beauty occurs in the middle of very ugly rocks. |

That's interesting Galaxy. Do you go to mineral and gem shows?

According to American astronomers at the Harvard-Smithsonian Centre for Astrophysics, a white dwarf star in the constellation of Centaurus, next to the Southern Cross, has been found to have a 3000-kilometre-wide core of crystallised carbon, or DIAMOND.
Our Sun Will Eventually Turn Into a Multi-Trillion Ton Diamond. |

That's interesting Galaxy. Do you go to mineral and gem shows? I love to go. Too many temptations. I also like non-precious pure mineral jewelry ~ azurite, tourmaline, all colors of quartz, labradorite, etc. |

What is it with girls and rings in there nose like they do with bulls and rings in there lips. I myself do not find them attractive. I always thought it was for a hook. So the caveman could throw a hook in her nose, give it a twist and drag her back to the cave. I don't know, maybe it's the time that I come from. They aren't attractive to me. I've never understood that whole "make myself stand out in the crowd" mentality anyway. You are who you are. You are unique by design. You don't have to add anything to make yourself stand out. Who you are inside is what makes you stand out. I don't mind a woman who likes rings on her fingers and nice earrings. But to me, this other stuff, nose rings, rings in odd places, giant hoops in the earlobe, just seems pointless and unattractive to me. They remind me of maybe a tribe from the deepest, darkest of Africa. |

I have always tried to do things to make myself look better not worse lol guess it’s a generational thing lol Agreed. Between facial tattoos, piercings in lips, cheeks, and eyebrows, and actually choosing hairstyles that look like one had a horrible accident with a weed whacker, I admit I just don't get it. |

I like jewelry, but i don't care for gaging or all of the body piercings. For one, I'm a big chicken and don't want to experience the pain. Or the other consequences of certain types of piercings gone wrong.
What i find about many people with tattoos is each tattoo means something and getting inked is kind of addictive to them. Piercings are not attractive to me. Tattos, well it depends on the symbolism. |

When I see that I like to imagine they ate a lot of dimes and gum as a kid and it's just now working it's way through their system giving them weird snot. When I see the nose bud I think they picked their nose so much as a kid the doctor had to put an earring in their nose to poke their finger to get them to stop, and they have to keep it in as a reminder otherwise they'd be knuckle deep. When I see a tongue, lip, or cheek piercing I like to think she had a sexually adventurous youth and blew the wrong robot, robo herpes. |

What is it with girls and rings in there nose like they do with bulls and rings in there lips. I myself do not find them attractive. I think that it is the same thing as when women/people decide to cover themselves with tattoos.... once you get to a certain point,it goes beyond someone making a 'fashion statement',and simply turns into a desperate plea for attention, and a declaration that they are not happy/satisfied with their body/the way they look, and do not think that they are attractive,so they try to change their appearance, and distract from their actual aesthetics. I do not find these people attractive, either, even though quite a few of them actually are attractive WITHOUT these body modifications, and also think that it is a HUGE red flag that tells everybody that they have underlying emotional, and psychological problems that have driven them to disfigure hemselves this way, |

I can relate to this. I have no tattoos or piercings. In the service I was pier-pressured to get a tat. I didn't want a tattoo and I didn't get a tattoo. I was ridiculed and others made a lot of assumptions about my character but its my body, not theirs. That being said, I have seen some nice body art. As nice as it was when it was fresh, I wonder how they feel about it now, after 35 years? There was a time when men having a pierced ear was trendy. First one ear then both. I didn't need to broadcast my sexual preference, thus I never felt the desire to get pierced. I've never felt a desire to self-mutilate myself as an attempt to stand out. Some people are turned on by that nose ring or tongue ring or lip rings but I'm not. |
