I doubt it .. I know what obesity does to health.. one of the pit falls of working in the health profession .. I will never allow myself to be fat .. ever lol :joy:

You'd be shocked at many in the health care profession here are overweight... and some grossly obese.

Having been 190 pounds 16 years ago, I too know what it does to ones health. Swore I would "never" allow myself to get fat again. Lost 65 pounds and maintained that for 15 and a half years... give or take 5 to 10 pounds but not more... until recently, the last six months... started a couple months before that actually, back in September after the hurricane when I became jobless and homeless.

Since then I escaped/left a very toxic/abusive and unhealthy relationship with a sibling, quit smoking, climbed out of my comfy little miserable box to start giving myself a new chance in life, quit the nicorette lozengers I became addicted to.... and accumulated an extra 25 pounds that is partly the reason I am suffering so my constant daily pain right now, the other has to do with my body not agreeing with damp and cold weather.

So yes, if you have some exercise suggestions and tips for exercises.. as well as how I can ease the constant pain I'm in naturally, that would be awesome! biggrin waving

oops Not vague... my bad slaphead biggrin

river sounds like you have had a mega stress insult and likely because of that your adrenaline and adrenal function is compromised . Giving up smoking is challenging and you should be proud of that accomplishment . Often the habit of smoking is replaced with snacking or consuming calorie laden drinks .
My first suggestion would be to keep a food diary for the week and be honest in recording what you eat and drink . I would be happy to look at it and help you to implement some easy changes . You can download free apps that will allow you to track your oral intake ,calorie value and how much carbohydrate .. protein and fat you consume . That is a good starting point . Likewise If you want me to be your personal fitness coach we can look at that too.. my services are free to you laugh :laugh smooched waving

I've already made changes to my diet... going back to the one that worked for me before years ago. But I can still do the diary thing. I'm going back to dairy free, eliminating a lot of the gluten food choices, increasing my veggie intake, along with nuts and seeds.

Years ago my quitting smoking resulted in addiction replacement with food, which is how I ended up being 190-200 pounds. I want to nip that in the butt now before it happens again, lol.

This time I got addicted to nicorette lozengers, ate them like candy for quite a while. I stopped three months ago, used the patches for one month, and have been nicotine free for two months now. My replacement has been fudge covered oreos and monster loca moca drinks. slaphead

But this is off topic... I would love your help and appreciate the offer smooched

I can either message you privately, or create a "Let's get back in shape" thread... which could possibly benefit others. Actually I think I'll do that regardless.

Help with a fitness work out would be wonderful. flowerforyou
