My Poems have become very quixotic
did not expect it they're so exotic

In my cold room,I wait
watching the clock..tick tock
antisipating your arrival
needing love for survival
tormented by this hunger
tongues water over the edge
open mouth and hungry eyes
licking lips,begging to be fed
Insatiable desires..I want it all
counting back time as it crawls
kneeling,waiting..chained to my bed
you must let me give you.......?
only time will break these chains
under a moonlit sky,I wait
run to me,throw yourself to me now
paradise is more than skies and gates
Undress before me
skin so close to my mouth I can taste it
scents pour all over me
you're the pleasures for which I live

LETTING GO

Some things grab ahold of us-
It seems they wont let go.
Feelings can torture us
Even tho it may not show.

Cigarettes destroy our bodies
Drugs destroy our minds;
Predjudice separates us,
All into different kinds.

Political differences-
On which very few agree,
Can turn casual conversation
Into a heated frenzy.

The kind of house we live in
The kind of cars we drive,
Even the depths we go thru
Just trying to survive.

Can all make us prisoners
And its hard to enjoy life
Leading to health problems
Rooted in bitterness and strife.

Theres is one thing Ive learned
Its something we all know-
It is easier said than done
to let some of these things go.

So just turn to your neighbor
Your friend, brother or wife-
If you peel the surface off,
We're all the same inside.

When someone is less than kind,
As we all can sometimes do,
Just remember we all have things
We must let go of too.

My Heart

Here in my heart
You are playing a part
Helping me trust, lending a hand
bringing me out of the dark
these days, rays of sunlight
shine in
My smile is brighter because of you
In the morning when I wake
You fill my mind
and my body quakes
During the day I'm tryin to work
and I hear your vioice in my head
In the afternoon, driving along
running errends and picking up kids
grocery shopping, pumping gasoline
It's you I see in everything
You continually consume my
every thought
Why am I fighting this beautiful romance
I giggle like a little girl
and blush here and there
I love to hear your little voice
that constantly speaks in my head
Where will we go?
What do we do?
I want to love you
lie next to you
show you how i feel
The words to me come easy
with this pen and paper
but when voiced.......become a reality...
At night lying in bed
You ae my last thought
before falling asleeep
in exhauston
and I kniow tomorrow

Ripples

Untouched you are, your surface flat,
Not even a simple wake,
You live alone not knowing that,
My love is here to take.

You go about your everyday,
Working hard to earn your keep,
But lost in bed at night, you say,
Alone you cannot sleep.

You cry for me alone at night,
E'en though my face is blank,
I've shared your tears and thought I might,
Just watch awhile from your bank.

But you glimpsed my way and smiled again,
You laughed at things I'd say,
And beckoned me to come jump in,
To wash my fears away.

So jump I did into this pond,
The angle, oh, so steep,
This solid stone would make a bond,
Within your waters deep.

Ripples softly flow from me,
As I nestle down inside,
The future seems so bright for we,
Our feelings we shant hide.

These ripples, dear, I'll generate,
They'll be an endless tide,
As long as you appreciate,
That our love has never lied.

And hearts in love repair all loss,

How can I feel this way?
We've never even met before!

Is this how love goes?
Striking me when no one knows?
If we should ever meet,

No Way

Love can strike in many ways
mostly when you think "There's No Way"
A heart so cold, turned to stone
melts like ice when sunlight shines
Words so sweer
words so pure
Your words have cured
and calmed my fears
Out the window, to the curb
fly away with the birds
Love is a verb, followed by actions true
When it counts, wil lyou be there
When I really need you here?
Forever is a beautiful word
Comfort me, Sit with me
Listen to my heart speak...
when there are no words...

Right Here

I'm a city boy looking for a country girl
But I've searched all over the world
Who would have thought you were right here
When I thought I had looked everywhere

You never know what you have until it's gone
I was lucky I never waited that long
I never realized how much you meant to me
Until you were about to leave the country

I drove to the airport to convince you to stay
You had gone so far there seemed to be no way
I grabbed your arm to stop you from going through
I kissed your lips and I told you I loved you

You stood in silence and waited a while
When you turned around you had a huge smile
The words you've waited for finally came
Gazing into my eyes you told me you felt the same

I had traveled all around the world
Looking for that one special girl
All of them seemed so wrong
But you were right here.. all along
