Gosh..as a mother of 2 even when they go to their dads house for the weekend I call them...so completely shutting them out is unconceiveable, but if your daughter asks about her then I would tell her otherwise, as someone previously stated, I would let sleeping dogs lie.

wow this is hard.... I have not seen or heard from my mother in 22yrs I was 14 when she left the last time... it's hard and this time of the year makes it harder... you are a wonderful father from what I can see... and if your ex wanted she would be in your daughters life. for your daughter you should know when the time is right to tell her.. if she starts to ask questions at that time I would sit her down and have the talk...
