Topic: who is your favorite comedian? | |

I liked Chris Farley, not so much his standup but his movies were pretty funny.
Some of the sitcom writers were pretty talented. Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady for TBBT just an example. Plus, in situational comedy even brilliant writing can be terrible if you don't have the actors able to pull it off. Jim Parsons...outstanding. Peter Sellers was brilliant in Pink Panther. Bruce Willis was great in Blind Date. Lets not forget Animal House, Porky's and a whole slew of comedies that were before the PC movement. Everyone used to tell me I should do a Night at the Improv. I've been known to give people tummy aches, shoot liquids from their noses, fall on the floor holding their abdomens, laughter tears and incontinence. None of it is a practiced act, I am spontaneous. I don't do 'groaner' laughs, I do 'can't hold it back' laughs. |

Have you heard of the goons, it was a radio show, spike Milligan, peter sellers and harry secombe, harry secombe was pretty rubbish, but otherwise it was funny, Monty python was born of this, peter sellers was good in pink panther but in real life was not a nice man. Spike Milligan was a genius, often referred to as the comedians comedian, and a lovely man.he was tinged with madness as so many often are, and used to leave tiny letters at the bottom of his garden from the fairy's to his his daughters who in return would leave tiny letters. I recommend reading Adolf Hitler, my part in his downfall by him, I read it as a child, its probably his best book, its hilarious, my grandfather was a huge fan
