Did you mean the actual book 'Trail of Tears'?
I always felt for the Native Americans, they were humble people living in harmony with nature. But then came the 'White Man' with his lust for exploitation. |

But then came the 'White Man' with his lust for exploitation. I am a Priestess and have lived on reservation, and that was the best life I ever experienced. I hope someday to get back to that life. Its simplicity is its beauty! |

But then came the 'White Man' with his lust for exploitation. Yes, by Gloria Jahoda. I very sad time in this countries history. The whites betrayed the Native Americans. Thousands died making that forced march. It was very similar to the Bataan death march. |

The Native Americans were doing non-stop dances for prosperity from the Great Spirit. The white man did not understand and saw our actions as a threat. So they disarmed all of us. Even disarmed we continued to dance for prosperity from the Great Spirit non-stop. Since the white man could not understand this he still perceived it as a threat, and the troops opened fire on everyone. Woman, children, all were killed. Its a shameful part of history. But we as Native Americans must be strong and work past our grievances, and focus on the future. Its the only thing that will ensure that we stay a peaceful people. |

Understood, but I still think whites could have tried harder to understand, to coexist. They may have even learned good things from them. Instead they tried to cram their beliefs of religion, dress and general ways of ways of life down their throats. When they refused, they were seen as heathens, barbarians and uneducated. No, we can't go back, no, we can't blame it on the whites of that time, but it shouldn't have happened like it did. . |

"Indians"
We all see black and white When it comes to someone else's fight No one ever gets involved Apathy can never solve [BRIDGE:] FORCED OUT - Brave and mighty STOLEN LAND - They can't fight it HOLD ON - To pride and tradition Even though they know how much their lives are really missin' WE'RE DISSIN' THEM ... [PRE-CHORUS:] On reservation A hopeless situation Respect is something that you earn Our Indian brother's getting burned Original American Turned into, second class citizen [REPEAT BRIDGE] [REPEAT PRE-CHORUS] [CHORUS:] Cry for the Indians Die for the Indians Cry for the Indians Cry, Cry, Cry for the Indians Love the land and fellow man Peace is what we strive to have Some folks have none of this Hatred and prejudice [REPEAT BRIDGE] [REPEAT PRE-CHORUS] [REPEAT CHORUS] [MOSH PART] [WARDANCE] TERRITORY, It's just the body of the nation The people that inhabit it make its configuration PREJUDICE, Something we all can do without Cause a flag of many colors is what this land's all about [LEAD BREAK] [REPEAT FIRST VERSE] [REPEAT BRIDGE] [REPEAT PRE-CHORUS] [REPEAT CHORUS] ... 30 years go, Anthrax wrote this song here. The lyrics speak for themselves. JMO |

I see no sport in it. Yes, I fish, but everything is released.. Once you've killed an animal, its life is done. |
