17 days... We open on the 17th. Some of the other workers are arriving tomorrow, they will be doing a lot of the outside stuff.

The main Bed & Breakfast has 23 rooms, the other smaller one has 9. The smaller one is more like a motel than a B&B though.

Today one of the water heater pipes broke, flooded the laundry room. That was lots of fun cleaning up

I think my roommate is drinking before work and when she came back from going to the apartment after lunch she smelled like alcohol again. She always smells like alcohol. If I'm right, and my boss catches on, I might end up managing the smaller B&B.

That's not good, and you don't need to be around that kinda thing

No not really, it's a salaried position so probably pays really well, but it's pretty much 24/7. But I will do it if it comes to that.

No I don't need to be around it, but she's my roommate, I don't have a lot of choice as far as that. She's not obnoxious, just acts weird. She's got issues... is going through a divorce and is extremely co-dependent. I have my own room and I'm letting her know when I don't want her tagging along to every place I go

There is a little loft upstairs that my manager said I can have if I want. But it doesn't have a kitchen or a decent refrigerator. There's only a microwave and one of those small frigs. I like my room and the convenience of having a kitchen, and having the laundry room right here without having to go outside. A 22 year old girl will be living there in a week or so.

Well as long as it's good for you then that's cool.
Yes, it's nice to have your own time

She handles when I speak up about things pretty well. So I don't see it being a problem. And it's helping me with getting more assertive and asserting my boundaries. The Colorado job was about getting back to me and this summer is about gaining more independence and also working on my relationships with others, so it's an opportunity to practice that.

And maybe it will help her too... I remember what it was like when I suddenly had just me to take care of. She keeps wanting to take care of me and speak for me... .. And I'm letting her know that's not going to happen In a nice way of course She handles it well.

How dare she!
