I thought an activity partner was someone you did activities with... like hiking or going to the museum?

you're right, that's exactly what it is. I put that on my profile so no expectations I guess. Just even nice to have someone to hang out with.
Good friends are hard to come by even..

My problems is answering the messages. When i ignore I'm rude. I answer Im rude...How do you handle this?

Ladies, let's get this straight,
Imo, activity partner online means, well, not going to museums or hiking,
As for hanging out well that's the idea laugh

What on Earth is a curved ball?

shocked

It's a baseball term ( I adore baseball sorry for confusing you)

Just how he said it, kind of a tricky ball to throw in a baseball game.

It's okay

But I would be more into soccer shades

Can't remember the last time I played. I'd probably break a leglaugh

I don't play either. But I am a steward at my local team, if I'm not in work

So far every one of them that wasn't from the forums turned out to be fake, so I quit responding at all. It's kind of bothersome when you spend a week or two and sometimes longer with the more clever ones only to find out they aren't who they say they are.

So unless they are from the forums, I don't bother. I've yet to meet anyone or get messaged from anyone local. And those from the forums are all far away and not interested in LDR's... or maybe just not interested in me ohwell

why is there 'activity partner' as well as 'intimate encounter'?
I missed the 'activity partner thread' so Im clueless.
because one is all about doing the sex and one is about doing other stuffs
which was what the thread asked and we answered but also hijacked it joking that activity partner was code for da sex

I forgot about the intimate encounter, maybe I'm wrong then and that means what I thought activity partner meant?

omg,,, that's wonderful! tongue2

I can now... although a couple who were more clever, it took a couple days.

But when I first joined, before coming to the forums, I spent 4 months being educated on how to recognize them. One had me going for a couple months.... pretty heart breaking... lived far away!

Some of it was naivety on my part and wishful thinking, so I ignored red flags that I now recognize right away.

oh stab in the  if they are all fake.frustrated Take all that time to find out they're not what they seem..grumble

@klc ty for responding, I guess I have to tweak it somehow, can't hurt.
@Mikey those activity partner threads say that's why they added intimate encounter so there would be no confusion.
@ eric, I can't always tell right away, so I'm blushing

I don't think you're wrong Mikey. I think it means different things to different people.

Intimate encounter pretty much imo is a one night hook up of rolling in the hay

Activity partner is more like a person you hang out with and do various activities with no strings attached... More like a Friend with or without benefits.

Eric's right pumpi

And also, consider that I have lived in remote areas where it is difficult to find anyone local. Plus recently I move around a lot and don't take risks anymore with meeting anyone... kind of gave up looking... so that makes it difficult to.

Sorry if I discouraged you, that's just been my experience... might not be that way with others. And I seldom read them anymore, just delete, so can't say 100% that they are all fake.
