Topic: Does anyone else experience the site freezing when in use | |

i didn't see the thread but i am pretty sure charles had stated it was a server issue and something about having to switch to a back up server when this all started and soufie started the what to do when thread Charles has not been a Admin for a couple of years that was a old thread that had past post of Charles on it... Site has went down a few times in the last few weeks and has been lagging from time to time... Sure they are still working on it.. ![]() |

Scepticalsoulamte it seems you are you the only one here that has experienced the buffering (page freezing) and takes so long to work.Just good to know its not just me. But did find a couple of the comments informative.

Right now, 11am CST on a Wednesday, I notice a slight slow-down on page load. I'm chocking that up to web congestion on the local area servers.

Hmm, I've unraveled a lot of mysteries using the w3 validator as a troubleshooting tool. Well, OK, trying to post a link that validates the front page didn't work, never tried it before.
Maybe the site only works right in IE and it was made with Frontpage but I don't even use Windows. There isn't a quick fix but when you see the same error multiple times the causes of them are probably related. Glad I'm retired, hee hee. Database, maybe, depends on the database's role. Many sites now come out of databases, it's the only way to create pages on the fly. But I would examine what's in the database and how the pages are getting created. And be glad it's only web pages and not financial stuff. |
