Problem

I have a friend that I'm particularly close with who seems pissed at me and I can't figure out why? I know I should just confront him, but this is the second time this has happen and I think if I confront him again it will just make him more angry. I truly have no clue what to do.frown

Is he usually a "nice guy?"

If so, I'll just make an assumption here...I'll just give you a common scenario...I can't really conclude anything solid since you only gave a few details.

I'm going to GUESS that he's usually a nice guy to you since you are confused by the fact that he's acting not nice lol.

He is mad because he is confused himself! He might be attracted to you and thought that he could win your heart by being a "nice guy" because every woman has told him that women want nice guys. When he realized that this wasn't working, he became confused and frustrated and in his mind he started blaming YOU for not being able to see how "great" of a boyfriend he would make.

If this is the case, don't worry; it's not actually your fault and there is nothing wrong with you. It's his fault for trying to act like something he's not.

Thanks for the kind words peachiegurl28. I guess what makes it so difficult is that although he can say some pretty harsh things, he can be equally kind and caring. I just really don't want to lose that kind and caring friend that I do get to see alot.

Thanks chiefpua.

He is usually very kind, but he has a certain discourse where his language is typically pretty strong. But I usually can tell when he's just kidding. But he's gotten very short with me lately and I'm pretty sure that I've done something to rub him the wrong way. I don't think its an attraction thing since he is in a very serious relationship. I just really bad with confrontation and I'm trying to see if there is anyway around it. (probably not the best way to handle things)

Thanks again

Bipolar? Maybe he's just got stuff going on and he's short with everyone. Maybe be upfront but not confrontational

"You seem pretty pissed off all the time, if you wanna talk about it I'm here if not I don't want to be around it at the moment so I'll just give you space"
