I haven't dated anyone online, and as of today, I never will...but I can tell you I have made a lot of friends...that's all. and they are GREAT....

I like to think of it more as in "introductory" place. have a chance to chat a while and get to know each other. Then if the mix is good, then meet and start the REAL dating.

Its true someone could be not telling the truth and be someone else here, but you take that chance most of the time anyway, except with the picture part. But I think most of us can tell many times who is "real" and who is not.

If I was going to deceive with my pic, I would have put up some guy model from a mag or something. Not saying I am ugly, but I'm not any Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise. Just figured a pic would let the person see who they are really talking too.

Plus I believe most women do not judge by sight most of the time anyway. If they can get past my average looks, then they can see a really good character and heart that would make up the difference.

And then you have my son .. he will keep it alive for at least one more generation too. So its not dead or dying...just hard as hell to find anymore!

it does get old, crawling into bed alone everynight, not having someone to talk to face to face or hug at the end of the day and talk about how their day was..etc...but, im just not willing to settle and the men i seem to meet around here are not up to par for one reason or another. i have met alot of good people on this site in particular and love the company. so it has its pros and cons like anything in life. and who knows, you may meet someone on here and it works no matter the distance, i wish the best for everyone and would love to see everyone find someone.

im not trying to me rude, im just curious.

LOL, well I doubt all of us are couch potatoes and more internet junkies than we'd like to admit. But as in my case, you will see me on rather often because I'm a computer systems/network engineer and have been wrestling with these dammm computers over 17 years.

So I jump on here to grab some conversation while I format a hard drive or test some network links, etc.

I actually love ot be active and still hike with my dog and get out and play a few sports from time to time. So I'm not stuck in a "cave"..I'm stuck working a lot. And why working a lot? Because no special woman to give all the extra time to.
