Back In Time
 
Isn't funny how a song, can take
you back to a place in time.
Back through the years, when your
best friend was still alive.

You try to keep it happy, by thinking
of all the good they had did.
How they treated others, and how
generously they would give.

You remember all their thoughts,
on religions, music, and poems,
or how they befriended strangers,
and gave to the homeless.

But as always in the end, when it's
all said and done, you always end up
crying, and wondering why
they died so young.
