Topic: 5 ways whites are discriminated against | |
---|---|
It would be interesting to hear the examples of systemic discrimination against Whites in the USA , or any other predominately white nation. i just listed 5...but you're not seeing past your own predjudices... |

people focus on surviving and getting through their lives, they also have grievances ... there is no evidence that they therefore can't focus on anything but their grievance, racial or otherwise ... and you think it's not a problem? instead of minorities trying harder and studying more, it's easier to play a race card just to beat the white man who did study and learn? if only hard work and study were TRULY 'all' it took ... because minorities have been some of the hardest 'working' in the country ... And you consider failing a test, (a standard test given to candidates regardless of their color).. a valid grievance? Well, if its and consolation ( and it is to me) I am told those who " grievance" their way to the status of Chief do not have the respect of the men they command. And never will. the race card can't buy respect. |

IMO not many think of discrimination against others. Jews, Irish, Native Americans, etc. But the whites....oh no! Agree Many that play that card does it from ages ago. They don't think of others or real history |

The white firefighters WERE certainly discriminated upon (The whites who failed the test had to wait a few years and retake it and the whites who passed the test had all of their hard work and study.. cheapened) and the black candidates who failed were given a free pass..just because of their skin color... and they jumped at it.. took the easy way.. just flipped out the race card Fact And that MS is.. discrimination. |

I'm not prejudiced at all but I will say this much young white people are being discriminated against... good luck to a young white person getting a job at a Tim Horton's donut shop.. nothing but Filipino workers there... that goes the same for any other low paying job... big corporations are squeezing out the higher demanding wage White people have come to expect... and are opting to replace.. the white Workforce with the lower-paid... slightly Brown Workforce... can't really blame them though Filipinos work hard and don't complain... for less money probably...
Of course they brainwashed the Whitey.. Telling them no no your kids don't want these low paying jobs.. they need to focus on going to school getting corporate jobs... Sure but how can they afford to go to school if they can no longer get a job at night working in your Tim Hortons or your grocery stores..... because you gave all those jobs a way to the slightly brown people from overseas...hmmmm... oh I know Mom and Dad should take out another mortgage on the house lining the big Banks Pockets even more... tricky rabbit Trix are for kids... it's truly sad how everything ties into making profit |

I am someone PARTICIPATING in said topic, however there is no debate that people from all backgrounds SOMETIMES suffer injustices that are racial in nature there is a justice system to address their grievances however, the issue of 'systemic' discrimination does not apply to whites in a predominantly white nation there is no discussion or denying discrimination HAPPENS in personal and individual situations that those individual situations rise to an oppressive pattern for a DEMOGRAPHIC of people, is another matter |

Imo, they try and over educate kids now. Ok for the highest ones but give a less intelligent kid a piece of paper and they assume they are to good for some jobs. This is how we end up using migrant workers. I've often heard the expression from the us 'you'll end up flipping burgers " Well, what is wrong with that? It's still work and someone has to do it, why make them feel less worthy? |

It's still work and someone has to do it, why make them feel less worthy? if you live in a culture where 'merit' is tied to 'hard work', and pay is based in 'merit' by definition, lower paid jobs mean people with less merit and who aren't working hard enough .... few want to belong to that demographic |

Fast..lol ![]() I think mostly the philipino's are hard working, now, it's the way they were raised always needing to improve where as the most youth of today don't have to (not all ) Also I expect employers have more control over them as they have more to lose. |

That sounds really strange to me because in the back of my mind I'm thinking the US for instance is owned and run by the largest racial group at 72% of the total population, that's 250 million of you regionally!. That population is white, who actually own and run the country, and who's institutes are historically white. To me that would be like saying your the owner of your own company and you now feel alienated in your own company. That doesn't sound statically plausible, and just goes against my logic. If you created that world, then your the God of it simple.
How would that 72% majority all of a sudden start feeling marginalised in their own country, company and home? |

I did my graduation from new zealand. My class fellows were from USA, Iceland, Germany, singapore all around the world... I eat sleep and spend time with them. I seriously never hear, feel anything like that. No one ever talk on this topic. People were beautiful and amazing. Everyone respect each other. I spend time at their homes. But never ever hear anything like that. Inshort, Its only happen in USA? Why!

Different countries have different histories, which are grounded in different types of divisions.
In the UK, for instance, people would probably discuss more their concern for the Royals or, in Scottland, they may not be fond of the english. In Japan, which is highly monolithic, ethnic diversity is probably not thought much of because there is next to none of it. So, I think it is just that different histories cause different nations to have different concerns and political/social divisions or issues |
