One thing you are right about, though. As long as the only leadership we are being offered from both Republicans AND Democrats is nonsensical choices like these, the nation as a whole is going to flounder. And so far right now, the Democrats are copying in detail, the exact path the Republicans chose when THEY were out of power: complain and fuss, but propose no alternate solutions to anything.
