I have to get a camera in place to see if it's just deer, fox, racoon, etc... and not coyotes though...

Yes, I suppose that's true with the coyotes.

I don't mind the other animals. I enjoy seeing them.

I will also have to go to the Ag. Center and talk to a wildlife agent if they are coyote. It's illegal to discharge a firearm in city limits, so I'll have to check with them first should it wind up being coyote.

That's probably a good idea, lol. If you end up capturing one on camera, maybe they will do something to assist in either capturing it, or destroying it.

I agree about the other animals. When I was staying with friends up in Michigan, they had a home out in the middle of nowhere. It was really nice having deer and the other critters come up in the yard. The only thing that wasn't welcomed were the bears, but not too many of them showed up.

I doubt they'd assist... they've really cut their funding. Of course I don't know what I'd do with it afterwards. Something else I'd have to discuss with them. I'll find out what it is first before I worry about all that.

Sounds like a plan

Yeah, I'll probably procrastinate about and never get around to it...lol

I'm kind of bad about that unfortunately.

But the price of the camera isn't much. I'll at least do that much. I'd really like to know what has Troubles interest out there at 2am...lol

Yes, I would want to know that too. It's no fun being woke up at 2 in the morning.

He did it 3 times!... I don't recall what the clock read each time.. but it got pretty annoying, especially when I have a hard enough time sleeping as it is...

That would be annoying.

It was, very much... I'm starting to get worried about him.. he's got this cough/gagging thing going on and I can't afford another vet bill this month...

How old is he? What about joining a pet forum, or checking out a vet online for information?

They think he's 11... it's hard to say for sure. Since he was rescued as a stray they weren't sure how old he was then, could only guess and they said a year and half then... he seems OK otherwise other than whatever happened to him that last time. He eats, and does his business, he drinks plenty, he plays a little on occasion, he loves to walk and hike and boat and car ride...

Well he's probably fine then. I've seen other dogs that cough when they drink water, but there really wasn't anything wrong.

Have you researched it?

Not yet, and it does seem to happen more when he drinks, but it happens at other times too. I told the vet and she couldn't find anything wrong. They also couldn't figure out what happened last time either.. antibiotics seemed to bring him back.. I seriously thought he was going to die.

Well it sounds like you are being a worry wort, lol

He's your baby, so that's understandable.

I remember with my first son I panicked everytime he breathed different.

Dogs seem to be very attached to their owners as well. He could be experiencing sympathy symptoms with you. Kind of like a husband has with the pregnant wife.

I don't know, just a thought.
