As the night air chills
leaves cling, to Father Tree of Life
wishing for but one moment more.

But nay, roars the gusty wind
your time has come your days were
numbered before you had begun.

They lay silent upon Mother Earth
withered and sere, unknowing
what it is they fear.

the leaves whisper softly
they believe, as one
the autumn of our life, has now begun.

Oh, cries Mother Earth, children come unto me
i shall hold to my bosom and keep you warm
from the bitter winter and icy storm

I shall nourish the tree and give him life,
send a warm gentle breeze, and dew covered morn
He will hold you on high, til you bloom anew

and enter once again, the springtime of your life.

On my continent it is Spring. I am watching swirl and be tossed about by a very strong wind.
They too will perish to bring in a green canopy.
