Topic: A question for the ladies! | |
---|---|
I'm going to give a workshop that is about getting women 'in touch with their femininity', so the goal is to help empower them.
Some short info to clarify my question that will follow bear with me! The feminine is all about being soft, vulnerable and approachable on the outside, strong on the inside. The masculine is the other way round, and life and society has forced women to mostly become that way too. Often they don't even know it. (this has nothing to do with looks!!) Thing is, being that way is exhausting for a woman because it isn't natural, and... it has a major effect on what type of men you attract. And when in relationship it affects how the relationship will flow: A man doesn't want another man (a masculine woman) at his side, he wants a woman. Now, let's say you'd want to do this workshop. What would you like to learn? This can be about you as a woman, about feeling more feminine and relaxed. But it can also be about learning to interact with men (dates, partner) in a better way so your love life will improve. Mind you, it is not about doing all this for another, it is about you as a woman. It is also not about changing who you are as you don't need changing. It's about millimeter shifts, the goal being that you feel better and happier, feminine. If this resonates with you on some level, what is it you would like to learn from such a workshop? |

is credentialing and certification, licensing necessary
if it is a casual encounter group to empower and learn? not necessarily group therapy? I would think many such things do exist. This is based on Jung? loosely? :) I wish you well on your endeavor for yes, we as women know that we often feel like a square peg in round hole when we are expected to handle a career like a man the homefront like a woman and be the do-it-all dolly when it comes to balancing all this all the time. I do see this...many a woman getting really frustrated for as she becomes stonger, takes on more there is a resentment even a hostility that occurs ..when women realize that they no longer rely on men to do anything for them have they become what society as deemed as 'masculine' if you believe in categorizing certain traits along gender lines.. yes I suppose they have in many respects is it a good fit? no I don't think it is if we are expected to take on a so-called man's role in this world then as women we are expected to ignore our nurturing and caregiving side many women that suffer ungodly amounts of guilt and anxiety over this leaving their children in the care of someone else in order to pursue their career and the almighty dollar because they bought into this idea that in order to be a well rounded woman then this was the goal to have it all baby..but something will have to give for there are only so many hours in the day if you are expected to succeed out there in a 'man's world' then yes you will have to toughen up if you want to make it but at what cost? bust balls in the business world can you put on the apron when you walk in the door at home? do you even want to anymore? so though I think your premise is good re-teaching women how to get in touch with their feminity will not change this expectation we have ( at least in this country) that women will take on full time careers and do the majority of the childcare and be a warm, supportive spouse. |
