late! The Left has started that one right after the Elections when it became clear their beloved "Leader" had lost! Antifa is the Democrat party's replacement for the KKK. I don't know if you're serious or not, but politics really has nothing to with it - I's more a case of his being an angry, self-righteous extremist. I'm saying that what Jim Baker is saying has nothing to do with politics per se - I'm saying he's an angry self righteous extremist. His acting that way has nothing at all to do with left or right wing protesters. he's basing his prediction on his personal religious beliefs and his arragance and ignorance. Your bringing up hoodlums is off topic. Read the initial post again. ummm..who is causing the problems right now? is it the left or right? the left is the the ones calling for impeachment, not the right... everything he says makes sense, for the fact the right wont tolerate it... and, which side is more fundamental about god? his term christens may be wrong, but it has a deeper meaning... Being a fundamentalist usually means that you interpret the Bible literally, Most Bible scholars will agree that the Bible isn't meant to be interpreted literally - a lot of the stories are allegorical. The problem with some fundamentalists is they think only their way of thinking is right - and that where is a lot of the problems arise - any religion that thinks their view on God is the only correct one does more harm that good .. there lies the beginning of extremism and religious persecution. Just look at the Puritians and the Salem witch trails or the Catholic church & the Spanish Inquisition. The whole thing is ironic considering one of the reasons this country was founded was to escape religious persecution. But then again look at all the wars that have been fought in the name of God. I disagree. I was born and raised Christian and I still am. I have many friends that aren't. We respect that is our belief. The problem isn't with a religion. It is with the fanatics. TV evangelists are bad. They have tons of money. The way I was raised is WWJD. Reminds me of the Ray Stevens song "would Jesus wear a Rolex" |

You know I love you more than my luggage. I wouldn't push you to convert anymore than I want someone to change me. |

this thread is about Jim Bakker and Jim Bakker's statement no group, not BLM, not Antifa,,, I believe a statement that 'christians will begin a civil war' is very troubling, especially if it is in the context of encouraging and AGREEING With such 'non christian' response,,, |

if there is a civil war then it won't be started by christens. Some, will say it has already started to a certain degree
To a certain degree it has. People are starting to wake up. People are realizing that the person is not the problem. That the problem is a select few that manipuate the people to justify more control. It still has a long way to go for a concerted action but the seeds are planted. The People have had enough! |
|
|
|
The real problem is that there is no definitive target.
The people know there is something wrong but can't isolate the head to chop off. That is why there is so much stress and malcontent. Most never realize their hostilities are being directed by media coverage to an agenda. They know action is needed but they are being misdirected. The USA is in distress. Any normal person can see that. But, unlike a war where there is a defined enemy, its enemy is hidden among us. And that enemy is sly. |

Really Jim,,really?
I think this may be hopeful interpretation, much like the Trump hidden microphone scandal about groping women. But it is Yahoo "click bait" news. Jim Bakker is predicting that Christians would begin a second civil war in the U.S. if President Trump were impeached
That is a somewhat vague interpretation. There isn't all that much to the article. "If it happens, there will be a civil war in the United States of America. The Christians will finally come out of the shadows, because we are going to be shut up permanently if we're not careful...
There seems to be at least 2 ways to interpret this. 1. "Stand up, do stuff, shout" i.e. "stand up and fight, start a war by proactively attacking your enemies." 2. don't be shut up permanently, come out of the shadows, but if you do that will make you a target, and not backing down, standing up and shouting, will cause people to attack you leading to a civil war because you won't be silent anymore. Christians will be the scapegoat for the civil war because they wouldn't just shut up and go away and accept what the violent people want; Trumps impeachment. Of course he could be using hyperbole rhetoric and in a sense using "civil war" and "increasing violent aggressive polarizing" interchangeably. count this christian out,,,,
Does that mean you were counted in as a follower of Jim Bakker before this announcement? |
