I think he was both.... look at the mass quanity of merchandise you see in his works.... people know a warhol because you see tshirts, posters, purses...all kinds of things mass produced....

Hell of a marketing campaign...exposure.....:smile:

All true Yo but I'd rather focus on the Man he was and what He did for art and artists as far as bringing applied arts to the for front stages as to what the public considered Art.

he was one of the first to think outside of the box.

well besides the group of 7 of course.....laugh

one of the greatest art exhibitions I have ever seen was when they had a group of seven tour through the city where i live...

the painting the collection all of it....i was amazed

i was able to stand next to and view true brilliance.

well i don't mean to be biased but the man's love and familiarity and fondness for Native American Art is and was something to behold.

to say anything that he was passionate about art would fall short.
