here's a scenario.........you're hanging with your friends at the mall or the club or where ever your hangout spot.....someone walks by you that you think seems familiar....turns out that person was someone you may have picked on because of their weight or how they look....but this person has changed.......i mean they are SMOKIN hot!!!....do you go try to get to know them this time around or not?

You can try. But if they knew you picked on them, then maybe not.

Maybe just to apologize for being an asshole, but that's all.

Yeah, that's tough. I think it would be a really awkward relationship though...if pushing past the past torments.

I agree with just leaving it at an apology unless the changed person initiates that they want to pursue more.

let's say that the person has no problems with how they were treated back then.....they feel totally confident now and understand why things happened back then......

i have been the girl that always got picked on by my older, and more popular, brothers friends...then I grew up and thined down and got in touch with myself..recently i was at a club dancing and saw some of these losers and they actually tried to hit on me..it is true, living well is the best revenge.. I mean..if I would have maybe gave them a shot, but what the hell, I was now in the position to say no..and so i did, but hey..I would try it anyway, you never know..but if you totally get shot down, remember that you hurt their feelings once too, so dont take it hard and good luck

i would say "hey, i'm sorry for what i did, i was a c*ck gobbler, if you wanna hang out sometime, here's my number" and walk away and leave the rest up to them.....to be honest, i would do that no matter what they looked like..

I'am one of those who were heavy. I lost alot of weight. But you know, the way you feel when your heavy? You still feel the same way even if your thin. I can't look at someone in the same way, if the picked on me.

I never picked on people I grew up hating school because I kept on getting picked on.

That happend to me a couple of years ago I ran into a guy (whom I worked with for years and who wouldn't have anything to do with me outside the workplace) I hadn't seen him in about 3 years. He had to look twice to make sure it was me and then was all nicey nice. I told him flat out, "I'm still me, just because the outside is different doesn't mean the inside is. You wouldn't have anything to do with me then because of the way I looked, I don't want anything to do with you now because of your shallowness, I'm sure that hasn't changed" and walked away. Needless to say he doesn't approach me anymore when I run into him. My opinion is tough luck, people don't understand the effect it has on those who have been tormented and teased for whatever reason, and believe me, it's hard to forgive those kind of people.
Just my two cents.. you have to do what you feel is right.

thanks for the input y'all.............i'm about to go through major changes in my life (appearance wise anyway).......i was severely teased in middle school until the middle of 10th grade because of my weight and my "afro" (yeah.....learned to NEVER let my aunt even TOUCH my hair again...).....of course i ditched the afro and i've already started the long journey of losing 1/2 (yes y'all HALF) of my weight......i'll admit.....a year ago i weighed over 320 lbs....i decided i was tired of living like that and lookin horrid and being depressed about my weight and how it made me look......
