How soon do u ask for a persons phone # on here??
 Do u wait awhile and talk thru emails first before talking on the phone??
The reason i ask is because guys have asked me for my # on THEIR FIRST FREAKIN EMAIL...and then when i tell them..i rather get to know them thru emails first....they get mad...wassup with dat?  I think its kinda funny because it just means he is prob a jerk...but was wondering if anyone else has had this experience?

hmm...people usually tend to give me their numbers. which i promptly ignore. haha. i hate talking on the phone...

it's all what you feel comfortable with. I mean, I wouldn't ever give my number out to someone without getting to know them a little, but again, it's whatever you are comfortable with.

I've been communicating with a lady here and the only thing I've given her is my home E-Mail. The phone number I would give to her when I'm ready to meet her face to face. I woudn't ask her for her number till before the face to face meeting. Never evr give out your phone number till you are ready to meet face to face. Definately not in th first few E-Mails.

Well that's an easy question. You give your number when YOU are comfortable to give it. :-)

yea i've def had the same thing happen.. but the way i look at it.. if they aren't okay with waiting until you are comfortable.. then they obviously aren't taking into account your feelings already on the first time talking to them.. so some relationship that would eventually make.. right?? haha

Actually, if someone gets mad because you won't give them your number, that kinda tells you it's a good thing you didn't. It's a good check system...if they don't flip out, THEN they may be worth giving the number to. However, I gave my number to someone after a couple of emails and regretted it anyway! LOL
So you never know... can you imagine if we put our numbers on our profile! YIKES! LOL Good luck, hon. :) |

the only reason i could see that they would get mad is if they are CRAZY and afraid that you'll figure it out after two or three emails.. so they rush to get your number after one hahaha

I agree it depends on when you feel comfortable giving it. Usually I will wait until I feel as though I have gotten to know the person. Hope that helps.
