I know I can't judge every woman by what the few have done to me. I haven't found someone who has given me a reason to actually have faith in finding someone. I don't know what I want in someone. How do you suggest I change my mind set and how should I look at it? How do you look at.... geting out there and dating? Should I even be looking?

You have no faith in it.
You will then make it fail if it does not on its own.

Why not spend the time on yourself, seeing the world,
going places where you run into people, finding out
who you are and who might complement that.

Exactly! I agree and couldn't have said it better. This is pretty much what I told my sons when they were getting closer to adulthood. Spend time getting to know who they are, finish college and see the world a little. It's amazing how much you change during your early 20's, you don't need to rush into dating or meeting someone, even if everyone around you thinks it's "the thing to do".

Well then I guess I'm just on here for the forums. Ill go with the flow till I find what I'm looking for. As for the going places and seeing the world. I think that comes with money unless you know a secret way of doing all that stuff without it? Also isn't coming on here a way of running into people?

Also everybody says life is short. We run into a different way we could have died every day. I don't understand is life long or is it short lived because right now. It feels like its taking forever.

OMG Ome, you are just a kid. Don't worry about dying... be adventurous, enjoy life and just have fun. So one day you could sing...

Seeing the world is not necessarily the whole world. Its where you live or close by . Take a road trip to see things you may of heard of.

I like what the others have said Ome. This is a time of self discovery for you , which most of us went through at your age by the way.

Try to get out there, take a road trip with friends as someone suggested , sign up for new class or hobby, and experiment with new ways of doing thingsIt might be something as simple as reorganising your room, or trying a new type of excercise ,All of these things just help you to figure out what excites you, inspires you , and what brings out the best in you.


Mingle and online chat in general was a good move on your part too.The contrast of experiences you have with such a broad spectrum of people really help to streamline the qualities you desire/need in a mate.And the wide feedback you get gives you a deeper insight into yourself , and the areas you shine in and those you can work on.
