I think i am too old to listen and adhere to what THEY say i am too old to do...or maybe just stubborn and hardheaded...so i purchased the young person type car, dressed in the young person type clothes, put on the toga and frolicked until the wee hours...then used the whole case of icy-hot to recover...

At 68 I tour on a Harley, drive Corvettes, and play blues on my Strat, among other activities. Not quitting anything because friends and relatives think I'm too old for those. A thirty-inch waist also may help. Good for you Mike6615.Follow your bliss! |

I just turned 44, and I can truthfully say the following... 1. I am in the best shape of my life and getting better. 2. I am smarter in that I do dumb things from time to time and I learn from them. 3. I am more sexual at my age. However, for a woman to see this she has to truly want to know me. 4. I have no idea how much longer I will be here on this Earth, so why would I set limits on myself? Basically....yes....there are things I feel I am too old for. Not to mention I don't want to do something "extreme" unless I feel I am ready for it. I just don't get the urge to go snow skiing unless I know what I am doing. I want to be 60 and I want to be healthy enough to run on the beach at sunrise...to travel to another country and not be in pain.....to laugh and enjoy it as if I was still a young man. There may be limits to my life but I set them. Other than that...I am wide open....so be warned. A person has to balace their zest for life with their physical/medical realities. Passion tempered with wisdom. Yu seem to have found that balance Goof, and happy belated birthday to ya! |

I am too old to play dating games at 54. We all prefer to date people who say what they mean and mean what they say rebelval but I think that goes for any age :) |

Peggy, Yes, look at Cher, when you have that type of finance behind you, the best medical treatment on tap, the odd little nip and tuck when things are moving in the wrong direction, and that type of lifestyle afforded to you, then yes-you can look wonderful as the years pile on, but life is more important than that, it's how you think and relate to people, don't get fooled by the wealthy clothes horse, because if you haven't got the where withall as mentioned above, then as you get older you are going to be very disappointed, enjoy where you are now I will say this wellworn. I have an aunt who turned 71 this year, who has no heath challenges, walks briskly, and has maintained a slim figure. Wrinkles are confined only to he forehead and she has remained just as sharp and productive as when she was in her 40s. She is not rich, does not have a personal trainer, or chef, and has not gotten any nips and tucks . She wont be prancing about in a bikini on stage like cher any time soon but what they both have in common is great health, a passion for life, and an indomitable spirit . The money, plastic surgeries and flamboyance are just cool trimmings but not really needed :) |

It seems after a certain age , we are told we are too old for so many things.
Too old to party in the clubs Too old to get new piercings and tats Too old to wear that youthful outfit Too old to date someone of a certain age And yet we see mature celebrities like madonna and cher who continue to defy every single box that society tries to confine them to. QUESTION 1. Now that you re older , do you think there is anything you are too old for? 2. Do you refuse to participate in any activities or habits because society considers you too old? So peggy since you have read all of these have you come to a conclusion? Will you let age hold you back? You seem very active in this subject. |

Visuals are fundamental in marketing my friend.:) No one knows my aunt. Every one knows Cher. If people feel uninspired by her, they are more than welcome to replace it with a visual of their own :) |
