This may be the wrong place to have this. Does anyone collect anything? I wouldn't say I collect a lot, but I do like books. I have a couple of full book cases and need more shelves. That is about the only thing I need space for, more books and I'm kind of neat and tidy. What do others collect?

I'm actually fighting off my urge to collect. I don't disapprove of it, especially not in others, it's just proven to be a problem for me personally.
What I'm doing to shift things is, I am no longer collecting physical items, I am only allowing myself to collect representations of them. It saves a lot of space, as well as money. Anyway, I have collected records, as in music; sort of books, though I got away from that a while back because it was clearly too big to take on. So now, the only physical thing I'm holding on to, are movies (DVD's and Blu rays) which are part of my primary collecting attraction: ideas and understanding. |

have had collections my entire life...books and movies are the main ones now I suppose...have never researched it but have always found it interesting how some people have collections and others have no interest in it whatsoever

I'm not some kind of crazy collector, or anything like that. It would be a nice dream to have a little house and a book room, like a little library where I'd have all my books and I'd have a great place to read.

crazy collector = hoarder
worked for a general services co. once and on one job we cleaned everything out of a hoarders house...that was a horrific experience...think you'll be just fine with ur own library...books are an excellent thing to collect!! |
